Saving Deaf Young People’s Community, Culture and Language (SDYPCC)

Hey! 👋

SDYPCC at DEX is all about Deaf young people learning, sharing, and celebrating Deaf culture, community, and British Sign Language.

We explore Deaf history, our identity, and our language through fun workshops, creative activities, trips, and group sessions. We also work together to create BSL content and share Deaf stories in our own way.

It’s about building pride, meeting new Deaf friends, and keeping our culture and language strong for the future – while having lots of fun along the way!

Our Residentials

Hey! 👋

At DEX, we organise residential trips for Deaf young people and young adults – both under 18s and over 18s.

These trips are a chance to get away, have fun, and try new experiences like outdoor activities, team challenges, and group games. It’s also a safe space to relax, build confidence, and make new Deaf friends.

We support everyone with clear communication in BSL and make sure activities are inclusive and accessible for all ages and needs.

It’s all about independence, friendship, fun, and creating amazing memories together!
