DEX Perience wishes you all in 2020 – a year of love, hope and achievement.

It’s the beginning of a new decade as well as year….there is still so much to do: for example, DEX advocates for deaf children placed in mainstream schools without deaf peers. The barriers that parents have to face – their requests for an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessment are not automatically granted, then they must go through the mediation process and then the EHCP Tribunal – just to possibly get a place in a resourced mainstream school (or unit) and to maybe learn BSL.

But 2019 has shown that, with determination, we can all play our part in making this world a better place.
