British Youth Music Theatre contacted us as they wanted to involve a deaf performer in their play- both as a performer and to evaluate the accessibility for deaf people in their organisation.
It was a week long activity. At the end of the week they invited members of the DEX team and volunteers to watch the performance and also to give feedback on the accessibility as a member of the audience. They really enjoy the visit and thought the performers were brilliant!
It was a fantastic opportunity for DEX and for Sophie who is a deaf dancer, we hope it’s the start of more exciting things to come!
